Now published: Vieser Sustainability Report 2025

Vieser has published its Sustainability Report 2025, presenting the company’s progress in advancing environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities across its operations and value chain. The report is based on a double materiality assessment identifying six key focus areas: climate change, resource use and circular economy, own workforce, workers in the value chain, consumers and end-users, and business conduct. These themes guide Vieser’s sustainability work and reporting.

Sustainability as a strategic priority

Sustainability has been a key strategic priority for Vieser since 2020. As a Finnish family-owned company, we take a long-term approach to developing our business, with a clear ambition to reduce our environmental footprint while increasing the handprint. Sustainability and profitability are both important to us, and we strive to maximize both.

Emissions reduced and climate roadmap advancing

In 2025, Vieser’s total carbon footprint amounted to 743 tCO2e, with a 9% reduction compared to the previous year. The majority of emissions originate from the value chain (Scope 3), emphasizing the importance of close collaboration with suppliers. During the year, we continued building a decarbonization roadmap together with key partners and strengthened our requirements through our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Circular economy drives product development

Circularity remains a central focus area. In 2025, Vieser:

  • Increased the use of recycled materials in products and packaging
  • Introduced a Circular Design Playbook to guide sustainable product development

The circular design approach has already been applied in the development of Vieser Kaita, a new linear floor drain solution planned for launch in 2026.

Strong employee engagement and inclusive culture

Vieser also continued to invest in its people and workplace culture. We achieved an excellent People Power Index score of 80.2 (AAA), outperforming national benchmarks for the sixth consecutive year. Promoting equality and inclusion remains a priority, reflected, for example, in a strong representation of women in leadership positions.

Message from our CEO

“We view sustainability as a long-term commitment that requires both persistence and collaboration. Our goal is to continuously improve our environmental performance while delivering durable, high-quality solutions that support the lifecycle of buildings”, says Susanna Sucksdorff, CEO of Vieser.
